I Love New York
You gotta love New York - the buildings, the people, the plays, the strange smells... Oh. Oops, I guess I didn't love that part. But in all seriousness, my mom and I had a great trip. From having some dude pull us around on his bike through Central Park, to seeing Wicked and the Little Mermaid on Broadway, to going to the Manhattan Temple; we had a blast!
Just for future New York travelers, don't be alarmed if your hotel is insanely small. (Or if your shower door doesn't close quite properly...or if the TV volume is stuck on high). I'm pretty sure it's all part of the experience. Also, taxi rides are quite the experience. I got to be something of an expert of hailing a cab while I was there. Aside from thinking you're going to be killed at every lane change, they're really fun!
Because I got my B.A. in Art History, we had to visit the Met. Talk about amazing. My mom was a great sport through it all - I think we are at the museum for about 9 hours. 9 hours? You might be asking. Yes. It's true. But if you haven't been to the Met, you can't fully understand the size of the place - it's HUGE!! It was nine hours well spent. My mom kept turning to me each time we came to a new room or exhibition and saying, "Oh, look. Another room." What a champ! She was great to indulge my art obsession for the day.
Hope you like the photos!
